How to contact your legislators CORRECTION 2

Legislative hotline 1-800-562-6000

Where to send a message in writing. This goes to all the legislators, not just yours. CORRECTION!!! This year it only goes to your reps, you do have to enter information so they can check. Bummer  Bill Information  You just enter the bill number, click where it says comment on this bill, and comment. You don't need to use the letters as House Bills start at 1000 and Senate at 5000.

Also, I am having issues getting to the bill page from the Bill Information page. Go to either the House or Senate introduction page, bring it up and click on any bill. That will take you to a page where you can enter the number of  the bill you want and get through.

citizen involvement

While you are praying for bills this session, take some time out to see if you should be on a local appointive board or commission. A lot of policy is determined at this level.
Thurston Country

Your county will have a similar page.

PRESIDENT
Trump to keep our nation and become part of the UN
SENATE
Vance, we need an R to get control of the Senate and the committees, on the off chance he wins that would help
HOUSE DISTRICT 3
Jaime Herrera Beutler – pro-life
HOUSE DISTRICT 10
Jim Postma sort of pro-life, better than Heck

Bill Bryant – truly the lesser of 2 evils, voting for him only on the chance he won't veto R legislation if passed.
LT. GOVERNOR
Marty McClendon – pro-life conservative
SECRETARY OF STATE
Kim Wyman another lesser of 2 evils
STATE TREASURER
Duane Davidson – other candidate more liberal by a tad, this one is against an income tax, other one wants to consider it Other one also took money from Planned Parenthood.
STATE AUDITOR
Mike Miloscia – was a D but because pro-life got kicked out essentially
ATTORNEY GENERAL
John Trumbull – not attacking Arlene’s Flowers
COMMISSIONER OF PUBLIC LANDS
Stephen McLaughlin – wants to protect public lands, but use them too.
SUPERINTENDANT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION
Erin Jones, less bad

Richard Schrock

No to all initiatives
Initiative 1433
Minimum wage hike won’t help
Initiative 1464
Don’t give the government money
Initiative 1491
Gun take away, have plenty of laws if just enforced
Initiative 1501
Real reason is to keep people from learning that they do not have to pay union dues. The union won’t tell them, if addresses are public someone else can.
Initiative 732
Need to encourage fixing plants, not punishing before can, so no money to do it
Initiative 735
Corporations made not people so no free speech, no restrictions on unions. Restricts free speech

Advisory vote 14
Maintain extension of a previous tax
Advisory vote 15
Maintain removed an exemption– electric car exemption only helps rather well to do and cronies of progressives

Senate Joint Resolution 8210
Makes them finish redistricting earlier. Passed essentially unanimously.

August 2 Primary Mary's Pics

2016 AUGUST PRIMARY MARY’S PICS
FEDERAL
SENATE
Scott Nazarino is endorsed by Don Benton, who I respect. Chris Vance was terrible as State R Chair, establishment all the way and says he will not vote for Trump .  That makes him for Hilary for all practical purposes.

CONGRESS 3 Jaime Herrera Beutler
CONGRESS 10 Jim Postama – another weak candidate, I think he runs anytime they need someone to make the D’s spend money.

STATEWIDE
GOVERNOR  Bill Bryant
LT. GOVERNOR Marty McClendon is fun and conservative. – Yin is establishment/Mainstream, Figueroa less so Rossi/McKenna. McClendon probably doesn’t have a chance. Personally gong to vote for his anyway. The Lt. Governor’s main job is keeping order in the Senate not voting on legislation or enforcing it.
SECRETARY OF STATE Kim Wyman – only R, not a favorite, but better than the alternative
TREASURER  Duane Davidson – less establishment
AUDITOR Mike Milosia – pro-life was a D and left
ATTORNEY GENERAL – voting for Trumbull, he has no money but not Ferguson – Arlene’s Flowers Why didn’t someone run against him
COMMISSIONER OF PUBLIC LANDS – Steve McLaughlin – the only candidate that will let us keep ours
SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION – Ron Higgins per Research Mom/Sharon Hanek
INSURANCE COMMISSIONER – Richard Schrock – Murta pro-choice – don’t trust him on forced abortion coverage.
SUPREME COURT 5 – Greg Zempel

               2 Drew MacEwen

THURSTON COUNTY
1 -  Jon Petit – long time activist against the status  quo, Hutchings if you don’t like Jon  had issues in Tenino, but conservative Absolutely not Cooper. Cooper is what we have now in spades

2 – Gary Edwards
