In the proclamation calling for a special session, the governor has opened it back up to policy bills as well as budget bills. Therefore 1044 and all the other bills we hoped were dead  Hopefully the Senate leadership will stick to the budget.

Sunday, April 28, 2013

Answer for special session. May13. Hopefully time for Rep. Freeman to get treatment.

Friday, April 26, 2013

Might have a transportation budget. Not  necessarily a good one, but a budget. Just tomorrow and Sunday of this session.

Thursday, April 25, 2013

From now through Sunday there will be posturing, but everyone is resigned to a special session. Pray that behind the scenes some real progress is being made.

Wednesday, April 24, 2013

URGENT
Governor Inslee is prepared to call a special session for social legislation. The DUI bill was mentioned, but 1044 is one of his pets. NOOOOOO

Tuesday, April 23, 2013

The new House leadership may not be finalized until after session. That means Joel Kretz is acting head. Pray for wisdom on the budget. Pray for focus on the job ahead and not the political maneuvering between the wings of the Republican Party.
We need for the truth to be discerned regarding the true purpose, true cost, etc. of items in the budgets.  I have seen things regarding the transportation budget, but not the capital or operating budgets. We need to watch that things are not  added as amendments that have nothing to do with the rest of the bill just to get pet items pasted, pet people paid off, etc.
This is an intense time.

Sunday, April 21, 2013

Last week of session. This does include next weekend.
Pray that they get everything done and there is no extra session.
Pray for honest, prudent budget - funding godly things and defunding ungodly.
Pray for the legislator, staff, families, health, businesses, etc.
Pray for the new leadership in the House.

Friday, April 19, 2013

Still working on the budget.
Pray for God's will in the new House leadership process.
Pray for healing for Sen. Carrell, and Rep. Debolt and Freeman.
Keep 1044 in prayer also as could be added as amendment by either house.

Thursday, April 18, 2013

The budget is the principle thing right now. The D's want to raise taxes. Some ideas is to make the Business and Occupation tax even more anti-business. For those who don't know, this is an income tax on gross receipts, that is before expenses.
Need to get rid of expenses and not the most painful to the taxpayers, but the most wasteful or to political friends.

1733 transparency of transportation projects SUPPORT  PASSED
ALERT
The D's tried to add1044 as an amendment and that failed. They could do this with other bills. Keep praying.
Richard DeBolt has just stepped down as House leader for the R's Joel Kretz is acting leader. He would be a good choice for permanent. Keep praying.

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

Nothing new on the bills.
1044 did not get pulled to the floor and apparently won't be. However, keep praying. It is mortally wounded, but some things assumed dead revive.

Senator Carrell is ill and needed a bone marrow transplant. I have heard he is near death. Pray for his health as well as Representative Freeman who has cancer also. He is able to be at the legislature, Senator Carrell is not as his immune system is seriously compromisesd.

Also, House minority leader Richard DeBolt is in the hospital with undetermined problems. We need him well for the budget battles.

1723 OPPOSE more early learning passed out of ways and means with most of our people voting for it. Guess it is hard to vote against spending on kids.

Monday, April 8, 2013

Tomorrow is the last day to read reports on fiscal bills in second house.
There was a hearing today for 1723 that didn't appear when I checked before.
Things will get harder to track from here on out. A lot of the action is behind the scenes.
They will start hearing bills again as the hearing period for the budget will have passed.

Sunday, April 7, 2013

The content of the budget bills will constantly change. Keep praying.

Saturday, April 6, 2013

They are working on the budget. Actually budgets. There are more than one. I don't know enough to suggest particulars. However, don't fund immoral purposes; don't line politician's pockets; don't waste money; don't penalize the taxpayers for not funding everything you want to fund; don't raise taxes; anything else you can think of.

1044 possible "Ninth Order" – a maneuver to bring any bill to a vote even if it has not had a public hearing

In general there is a lot of deal making going on at this point in the session. Pray for the Christians and against corruption as well as immoral bills.
Got a call from Planned Parenthood. Yes, that Planned Parenthood. They may try to go around the committee process with 1044 abortion insurance. Call your senator!! Pray!!!!

Thursday, April 4, 2013

1882 This bill has just been introduced. It appears to be a budget bill, but not sure of  the timing. This would prevent therapy to restore normal sexual identification as California has done. At this point just a study group, but we know where this  is going.

Several senators signed a letter supporting 1044. The top name runs as a Republican. The second was a Republican, and not leads the combined caucus.
Senator Shin calls himself a Christian.
Please pray that these men will not pull the bill around the committee.

Senate Leader Rodney TOM

Wednesday, April 3, 2013

Will go over the other bills and make a list for tomorrow. Several bills are wounded. Some have become budget bills although not obviously so, and some are budget bills. Most of the worst stuff seems to be gone.
1044 did not get out of committee.
HOWEVER!!
It is wounded but not quite dead. Last year a majority pulled o budget to the floor, bypassing the committee. They claim to have a majority. Keep praying.
