more regulations
This is normally a legislative post, but the pro abortion folks want a list of all hospitals that do not perform abortions and to mandate that they state such on their website. What you can't do in the legislature, do by fiat.
gas tax
As is our gas didn't cost enough already, the legislature wants to raise the gas tax. Translated punish people that don't ride mass transit.
At least one rep. (J.T. Wilcox) is asking his constituents to voice their opinion. I would suggest that everyone do that.

special sessions
This is my personal opinion. I am an old granny that has been active in politics since the 1950's. I see no need for special sessions. Not the last one. Not one to raise the gas tax, which I am opposed to. Not one to make this a right to work state, which I am in favor of.
I am in favor of elected officials doing what is right for the state; not big corporations, unions, racial group, environmental extremists/socialists, pro-abortion, gay rights, etc.
So when you are making your calls against the gas tax increase, include the governor about special sessions.

Correction of last post
Sorry 10 cents a gallon is not enough. Senate R's suggest 11.5 cents. You need to get on those phones.

Rumors of another special session to raise the gas tax
Yep. The actual Boeing plant rests on better roads. The union is up in arms about the deal they got. Please everyone contact your legislators and say Not only No but (substitute your appropriate word) No.
The raises would be 10 cents a gallon.

Boeing bills
All the bills are on 2nd reading and will probably be passed in the near future. Ask for wisdom to find anything hidden in the bills that needs to come to light.

Jan Angel
It appears that Jan Angel won. I am not sure when she will take her seat. Probably next session. At that time someone will have to be appointed to her house seat. They will have to hire new staff, as Jan Angel will take hers with her to the Senate. Need Christians!
Boeing Bills
The Senate didn't announce their hearing yesterday, but it went on today. The house committee passed out a substitute bill. I am not sure of the difference. Will watch for others to comment. There are tax changes for other industries besides aerospace in the bill. Need to pray for wisdom and more wisdom.
Senate Democrats
Senator Ed Murray was the leader of the Senate Democrats, but resigned as now mayor of Seattle. Sen. David Frockt, D-Seattle is the temp leader. They will be electing a new leader after this special session, and Senator Murray will probably resign, meaning there will be another appointed in his place.

2088 and 2089
These are the House versions of the Boeing Bills They will be heard by November 8, tomorrow at 3:30 PM
The companion Senate bills 5952 & 5953 have not yet been assigned.
The bills give only very large airplane manufacturers special breaks and appropriate funds for college training in studies related to working at Boeing.
The taxes issue is not letting them expire. Not sure how bad the actual bills are, but 7 days. Really.

special session
Purpose of special session? Pay off Boeing and the union. Their taxes go down. Your? Up of course. But it's about jobs. Pray for wisdom of the Godly kind, not the godly. And since this is transportation, don't count that pesky light rail bridge to Portland out.
